Competitions - The season is now in full swing!
No sooner than Deeside is over, Lee Valley in London is the next venue for W.I.S.C. competitive skaters.
Laura Clarke and Lynnsay Martin, along with their coach Kayleigh Munro, will travel down south to London to take part in this well supported national competition. Everyone at the Club wishes them the best of luck and looks forward to hearing on how they have perfromed at this latest national event.

New kit has been unveiled and modelled by club skaters for the new season. These include Fleeces, Hoody's and T-shirts (See below). Prices for these will be published on the web shortly, but see a committee member on Saturdays/Sundays for more info.

Deeside Open Competition
Congratulations go out to our three travelled skaters, Megan, Rebecca and Laura who took part in the
Deeside open in North Wales last weekend. 112 skaters took part in the event which was completed over one day. Another great success for the club with all skaters performing superbly.

Competition Updates - Ayr - Final competition of 2012
Twelve skaters took part in the 2012 Ayr Open National Competition which was a good representation from the Club. With over 240 competitors from 17 Skating Clubs throughout Britain involved, the skaters from Greenock represented the Club from Beginner Ladies to Level 5 Ladies. This was Penny McNamara’s first competition and she took part in Beginners, Age 9 and performed a lovely programme skating to music from the musical ‘Annie’.
Congratulations to Megan McGeachy who took 2nd Place in beginners, age 11years and well done to all skaters for excellent performances.

Dundee Open
W.I.S.C. like previous years, journeyed through to Dundee to take part in the annual Open competition. As usual this competition was well supported by clubs from throughout the UK. Results are shown below:

Success at Coventry Open
Fantastic representation of Local Skaters, who train at the Waterfront Ice Rink, travelled to Coventry to compete in the first ‘Open National Competition’ held by the Coventry Figure Skating Club.
The Club had eight skaters competing from Beginners to Level 5 and they were supported by Family, Friends and Coaches Kayleigh Munro and Nicola Milne.
The skaters achieved great results. Megan McGeachy achieved 2nd place in Beginners, 11 & 12 yrs. Sincere thanks to the Club who subsidised the cost of the transport through fundraising and thanks to Hardies Bus Company, especially driver Craig, who was a great support to the skaters.

Lee Valley, London - June 2012
Success for WISC - Two trophies come back to Inverclyde
Three Waterfront skaters, Laura Clarke, Elyse Paterson, Lynnsay Martin, and their coach, Kayleigh Munro headed south to London to take part in the Lee Valley Free Skating Open 2012 in the early part of June.
Lee Valley Ice Centre is the ice rink which is used by the BBC to film the celebs rehearsals for the national TV show Dancing on Ice.

Kyle Open
Waterfront Ice Skating Club had several members travel to Ayr to take part in the 10th Anniversary Kyle Open Competition which took place at the end of May. As usual, this was a well supported competition with 243 competitors taking part. Well done to all of the Waterfront Skaters.
