Waterfront Ice Skating Club is N.I.S.A. affiliated.
As stated above, the club is located at The Waterfront Leisure CompleX in Greenock and have three groups of skaters, SENIORS, BLADES and the SKATES.
"SENIORS"

"SKATES" "BLADES"
The club has two sessions on Saturday afternoons, and one on a Sunday - for the more experienced competitor skaters. For details of available dates see "Sessions"
page. The first session (3.45pm - 5.15pm) is used by the SKATES, and
the second (5.15pm - 6.45pm) is used by the SKATES. There will be
occasions when the sessions are combined, but coaches/committee members
will notify skaters in advance either by flyer or via the WEB. Please
note that due to the split sessions on a Saturday, there is a rota
system in place for committee members to support the skating sessions
along with the coaches. There may however be occasions when it is not
possible to have a committee member at the rink, and we would like to
remind parents that W.I.S.C. cannot be held responsible for children
left unattended.
All parents are warmly invited to participate in the
day to day operation of the club on a Saturday afternoon. If you can
help in any way, please contact one of the committee members.

There are currently two NCCP level 2 coaches.
The Waterfront Ice Skating Club was established in October of 2007 by parents who combined their ideas and skills, and voluntered their time to set up a club facility for kids from the local community. This was aimed at those who had completed their "Learn2skate" (Skate UK star programme) and wished to progress further. W.I.S.C. is based at the Waterfront Leisure Complex in Greenock. "The Waterfront" celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2008 and is a modern fully functional sports complex hosting a huge variety of activities. These include swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna and dance studio as well as the ice rink which the club shares with local curling clubs. The Waterfront has easy access from road (M8; A8,A78), rail (Greenock Central) and local transport.

The rink is compact (47m x 20m), but has a spacious feel to it, primarily due to the high roof design and panaoramic windows which overlook the firth of clyde. Even in the short life of the club, there are now members who have come through the programme and are competing nationaly.
The club is a non profitable organisation, with any surplus funds being re-invested to improve the facilities provided by the club. Meeting on a Saturday afternoon, the club session runs from 3.45pm to 6.45pm throughout the club year.
The coaches tutorial is both innovative and fun and as a result the membership has tripled in the first two years of the club's existance. Our aim is to promote and maintain a practical interest in figure skating, and for the promotion of a good social atmosphere.
The club is split into two sessions, first session being for "The Skates", from 3.45pm to 5.15pm and the second for the transitional members, "The Blades" which runs from 5.15 to 6.45pm. The overall club programme running from September to June.
