W.I.S.C. Coaches

KAYLEIGH MUNRO

 

Kayleigh has been with W.I.S.C since its formation in October of 2007. She is a N.C.C.P level 2 figure skating coach and has over five years coaching experience. Kayleigh has attended several  figure skating training camps, gaining experience with American technical specialists such as Kathy Casey and Janet Champion.

The Magnum Open (March 2010), was  the qualifing event for the Scottish National Team selection for the NISA cup in which Kayleigh secured a place. This competition was held in Aberdeen and includes Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales.  Kayleigh achieved 1st place at Level 10, contributing to bringing the N.I.S.A. Cup back to Scotland!

Kayleigh has over nine years competitive skating experience. She has been a Scottish championship medalist and has also won several open competitions. As in 2010, mentioned above,  In 2009, Kayleigh was also selected to take part in the N.I.S.A. cup to represent Scotland.


2007 saw Kayleigh taking on the Lead role of Dorothy in Paisley Figure Skating Club's  production of "Oz on Ice".  In 2009, Kaleigh produced the first show for W.I.S.C. - "Chiller Thriller", a tribute to Michael Jackson.

Kayleigh coaches beginners through to competitive levels and her pupils have achieved success at open competitions.

Kayleigh is first aid qualified.

NICOLA MILNE

 

Nicola joined the club in the summer of 2009 and is a qualified N.C.C.P level 1 figure skating coach. She has completed her level 2 figure skating coach training and is now awaiting final assessment. Nicola has four years coaching experience and has attended many skating camps including "Kathy Casey". 

Nicola is a level 8 figure skater and level 8 ice dancer and has competed in the British Championships for both figureskating and ice dance. She was also selected to be a member of the Scottish Nisa cup team in both 2007 and 2009 to represent Scotland.

 Nicola has taken part in many skating shows, including the Culzean Castle show in December 2007 and  worked with Kayleigh in the December 2009 production of "Chiller Thriller", W.I.S.C.'s first ice show at the Waterfront Rink.
